Used Xbox 360 Games are a Good Idea!

When you consider the cost of buying an Xbox 360 is around $300.00, adding the cost of games for this console can take quite a bite out of your wallet.

The graphics for this system are awesome, but man, the games are not cheap. Many of the games are $40.00 to $60.00, and the game guides alone are $20.00 or so.

I decided that I needed to find a way to update my game collection without breaking the bank. So I started to let my fingers do the walking through the internet. Yeah I know that’s not the way the saying goes, but you get the idea!

You have to get past the idea of used Xbox 360 games being bad. Frankly, I don’t have a problem using something that somebody else has already broken it. Face it, a lot of us drive used cars don’t we?

One of the first sites I found was Gamestop.com. You can also go to their stores, and look around. I went to the local mall and right away found a section of used games. They even had some pretty decent titles for a lot less than what they cost brand new.

Many of the games I wanted were available from around $20.00 to $30.00. I could live with this compared to the price of the games new.

You can even take some of your old games and trade them in. What I did was to gather up a box full of the games I had already beaten, and took them in to trade. What they do is look at the used Xbox 360 games you have, and make you an offer. They will even take games that are scratched! Not many places give you this option.

Once they have checked the games, they will make you an offer. You can get cash, store credit, or a trade. (If you want a new game, you will have to make up the difference) On the other hand, some of the used games you might be interested in might be the same price as what you get for your old game. Gamestop also gives you the option of getting used Xbox 360 games online. Find the game you are looking for and see if you can’t save money. The online store also offers trade in coupons that give you up to 40% more for certain game platforms. Xbox 360 is one of the platforms.
