The huge blow against stage fright

Fighting Stage Fright

Speaking is simple, but public speaking is a pain for those who are bashful types. Self-confidence matters a lot, and when you have this, it is a huge advantage. It is not too late, though, if you don't have it. You will gradually have the courage to speak in front of an audience by doing certain things.

* Speak with people.

Public speaking is something that you can augment by speaking to new folks and not just with a large crowd. You can boost your public speaking talent by just making the effort to do this.

* Remind yourself that you're the spokesman and, you are the best.

Being positive would point you to the room of great delivery of your speech. Tame those stomach butterflies as you are facing your audience. Remember that you are the one who would speak to them and that you are a reliable person.

* Dress and speak

See to it that you dress up reasonably and nicely. When you feel good on how you look, you'd be confident to face folks and talk.

* Punctuality is a must.

Get to the location earlier than your audience. As you arrive there, look around and feel the audience as if they're around. You can relax better this way.

* Drink. Breath. Pause.

Have a drink of water if you're feeling like your throat is drying up from all the speaking. Inhale deeply if you are feeling out of breath because of nervousness. Pause and think if you want to compose your thoughts. Be discreet, naturally.

* Move!

To express more and appeal to the senses of your audience, gestures are the solutions. However, use them suitably.

* Practice often.

Each chance you're able to talk in public, grab it. It might be your polishing board.
