Rhythmic Bioidentical Hormone Therapy: A New Health Trend

Each month we are seeing more news articles in health and consumer magazines talking about women in menopause and bioidentical hormone therapy (BHRT). Always identical questions keep popping up. Exactly what are bioidentical hormones? The short answer is that bioidentical hormones are derived in a laboratory from plants, and they are made up of molecules that are exactly as the endogenous hormones made in a person's body. They are not accurately the same, but the molecules are the same. These bioidentical hormones are time and again referred to as normal.

But let's back up here, and answer another common question. Why are there a lot of people fearful of taking hormones? The basis why there has been so much confusion about hormone therapy in general is because both doctors, women and news media alike remember the news that came out about the Women's Health Initiative (WHI). The government sponsored this study that ended up with overly emphasized negative outcome went out in May 2002, and which caused women and doctors to avoid hormone replacement as they could. Wiley and a lot others had a strong feeling that this project was not well monitored and not accurately analyzed. This famous report is as a matter of fact on synthetic drugs namely; PremPro and Premarin, wherein these are substances provided by the pharmaceutical company that sold them since 1942. It was assumed that they would find these drugs safe & effective yet that was not exactly the case.

Women can take bioidentical hormones in several ways: pills, gels, drops under the tongue, or via topical creams. There are a number of ways to approach the doses and blood levels and they are joined together as "natural," yet it's true that it doesn't come close to natural not until your body doesn't recognize it as natural in you. Only the Wiley Protocol(tm) bioidentical hormone therapy is recurring and follows the hormonal cycling of the body. Developed by author and researcher T.S. Wiley, the Wiley Protocol(tm) is now used by tens of thousands of women, and prescribed by a network of providers worldwide. Many women that have gone through positive results by the use of this remedy has provided The Wiley Protocol(tm) website their own outcome and personal accounts on how happy they were of the outcome. A huge number of them has even gone to the extent of giving out notes and their own videos on Wiley's Youtube account, the Bioidentical Channel.

Wiley tends to accredited seminars about the natural history of endocrinology, named environmental endocrinology in Glendale California, known as "Two Days Back on Earth." After developing the Wiley Protocol, she looked for natural hormones that have natural replacement - real HRT. She is convinced that gels, pills and drops do not cause a rhythm in our bodies, like endogenous hormones beat. The endogenous hormones of a young woman can rise up or hits rock bottom and prompts different genes, these genes can develop cells, stop them from growing and triggers cells to die.

So she looked closely at the different hormone states women have in life; 1) young and cycling 2) pregnant, 3) breastfeeding or 4) declining hormones. Would it not make sense that, first and foremost, young and cycling, seems to copy circumstance of hormonal health? Why is that? That is because of other two templates that are hard to duplicate both physical and experimental.

A woman's cycle reaches up an estrogen peak then the it falls and takes it lower to a much slightly significant peak. Progesterone goes up on day 21. Healthy women have a period that has a duration for 5 days with a heavier flow on days 2 & 3. Therefore, her conclusion was that bio-identical hormones can only be real bio-identical if the hormones for to substitute follow not only those chemically seen in the body, but also mimic the natural biological development as well.

Even more, new study is focused on healthy bioidentical hormone therapy (HRT), and suggests that women must cycle their hormones and experience menstrual bleed to be truly safe from cardiovascular events. According to a Danish study, a combined cyclic regimen with monthly bleeding makes a lower cardiovascular risk for women over continuous-combined estrogen/progesterone/progestin therapy, which doesn't cause a menstrual bleed. The study also found that in totality there was no increased risk of cardiovascular attacks in recent users of HRT in comparison to women who hasn't taken hormones.

Dr Ellen L?kkegaard, from Rigshospitalet in Conpenhagen, Denmark is a gynecologist and the primary investigator of this exploration. She stated, "The main message is that when hormone therapy is indicated for a woman, then a cyclic combined regimen should be preferred, and that application via the skin or the vagina is associated with a decreased risk of myocardial infarction." The observational study, the largest to focus at the effects of HRT since the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) trial in 1991, followed 698,098 fit 51-69 year-old Danish women.

Hormones work on a rhythm and like music it has a beat. Drops, gels, pills and static dosing have no rhythm. On another hand, the Wiley Protocol biomimetic, rhythmic bioidentical hormone therapy does. When women have sufficient hormones they feel good, and others even feel much better than they've experienced during their whole lives.
