Snoring Causes and Cures
The back of our mouths have collapsible parts that relax in sleep, making it possible to
produce snoring sounds. Once these are at their relaxed states, the air flow will drive
them to flip since they are dangling loose nearest to the throat. With the passage of
air, these structures hit each other and they vibrate and subsequently, create sounds.
People snore because of any one of these causes:
Some people have extra long uvula and soft palate. These muscles can dangle as a person
breathes. Normal air passage is therefore impeded when these muscles act as flutter
valves.
The movement of air from the nose to the lungs is also inhibited by nasal obstruction -
If the person has stuffy nose, he is encouraged to breathe extra hard which then creates
the vacuum in the throat. The parts that dangle loosely in this section of the
respiratory tract are then subject to excessive movements. While a person doesn't
normally snore, the possibility that he would during hay fever season is high. Hence, why
most people snore only in the presence of colds.
The actual construction of the nose may have problems - The nasal septum, the underlying
bone of the nasal bridge that separates one nostril from the other, can also have
deformities that may cause obstruction in the air flow.
Mouth breathing can also directly result to snores - When the jaw drops open during
sleep, there is enough space for the tongue to fall back inwards into the throat. Again,
this would create the obstruction that will encourage vibration, thus creating snores.
With that said, it is therefore a good idea to look into the plethora of cures that can
counter-act any of these conditions.
In the case of excess tissues, the best way to address this is to remove those tissues
that are blocking the throat. This can be done by simply losing weight, or through
surgery.
There are many techniques used to surgically eliminate unwanted tissues. This can be
anything from manually scraping these issues, to the electronic disintegration of muscles
for natural absorption into the body. Even weight loss involve various methods. Only, the
person has to follow a comprehensive exercise or diet plan that will best fit his
condition. If a deviated nasal septum mainly causes the snoring, surgery is best possible
option. This, of course, requires making an informed decision after careful research and
examination.
Breathing through the mouth is most effectively cured by a shift to nasal breathing. This
can be done with the help of a number of stop snoring devices, as well as exercises that
encourage this shift in breathing.
Problems on nasal passage are a bit less complicated to resolve. Various stop snoring
aids are available, and they all work by widen
